Got up at 5:30am saturday morning and went to the pond off 670 in grandview. poppa rob was supposed to meet me but slept in as expected. the lake is disgusting. there's a ton of trash and the water was so dirty my line was black after the first cast.
I decided to go to the honey hole and i'm glad i did, except i had to shit really bad once i got out there.you can tell by the look on my face in the pics that i was in pain. the fish started slamming though, and i didn't want to leave and miss the early bite.
poppa rob finally showed up and i quickly caught this nice 3 1/2 lber
Slammed this one on a black soft plastic lizard. i love these things, you get so much action from the tail, arms and legs.
At this point i had to go so bad i couldn't stand it. decided to make one more cast and man i'm glad i did. i casted the black lizard in the corner of the lake where i've caught several big ones and i felt the fish inhale the lure and start swimming with it. i set the hook and it felt like i had caught a cinder block. check out this tanker!!! she's all of 4lbs, pushing 5lbs
i packed up my gear and headed to the gym to deliver the baby. had a great workout, met the fam for dinner and then got crunk and watched the UFC fights. what a hell of a day
